Social Media… gone wrong or entirely right?

It looks to be a very elaborate hoax from an environmental activist group, but it’s certainly something which has gotten the impact they were looking for. There’s a good chance the site will have been pulled completely by the time you’re reading this once lawyers with deep pockets get involved, but spotted trending on Twitter was a staged social media campaign centered around oil giant Shell.

The concept of the mock site seems innocuous enough. Here are a bunch of nature images which you can add captions to and then share via popular social networking platforms. The obvious result…
